BSSO 2010 – Round 5: Pembrey
September 15th, 2010
On the weekend of 04/05 September the Adrenalin Pedstop Race Team headed down to South Wales for the fifth round in this year’s BSSO series at Pembrey.
The weather conditions were somewhat mixed on day one but Adrenalin’s Polini Evo-powered Zip coped well on the 1.45 mile circuit. Josh Brown performed well once again too and came second in all three races in his class on day one despite starting at the back of the grid due to his fall in the last race at Lydden at the end of July. The Zip’s onboard camera took a bit of a bashing during Josh’s off at Lydden which could be the reason why it stopped filming during the second lap of the first race, luckily we managed to capture all the action in race two:
Day two saw Josh flying round the circuit in the practice session:
More camera problems meant that we were unable to film the action when it came down to the actual racing but with the Zip being in the capable hands of Darryl at 50cc Tuning as far as spanner work goes the Zip came up with the goods as far as speed is concerned which, coupled with Josh’s cornering ability, enabled him to win both races in his class. This stands Josh in good stead for the remainder of the championship. As always though there’s no room for complacency and as we all know anything can happen in racing.
There are two rounds left in this year’s BSSO series, the next event is at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire and it’s a two day event – 25/26 September and this time it’s the full circuit. If you know the track then perhaps we’ll see a few bikes going airborne.
